Prior to joining UCS, Lee worked for 15 years as a project manager, 能源顾问, and energy engineer. In these roles he designed and implemented building energy management systems, consulted on mergers and acquisitions in the energy and utilities industry, and conducted research on the effectiveness, 可伸缩性, and impact of technologies on the grid edge, with a focus on microgrids.
Lee holds degrees in electrical engineering from LeTourneau University (BS) and the University of Wisconsin-Madison (MS), where he also completed a graduate certificate in energy analysis and policy. Lee also completed two years of service as a US Peace Corps Volunteer in El Salvador.
